We have a small class which allows more teacher time to focus on helping us create friendships, communicate with others and settle in to our school.
This term we have learnt about the creepy crawlies around us. We have watched caterpillars transform in to butterflies, held mini-beasts and visited the butterfly garden. After learning about the parts of different mini-beasts, their life cycles and habitats, we have then created models and pictures of them. Come in and see the display with all our mini-beasts. We have also been writing stories about mini-beasts including ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and ‘Arghhhh Spider!’, doubling ladybird’s spots and singing mini-beast songs.
Weekly reinforcement/focus activity set on Tapestry (for example: letter sounds)
What have we been up to?
Our teacher sends pictures of what we have been doing in class to our parents using our learning journal portal Tapestry. We have lots of fun learning in class and in our outside area and love to share this with our parents.
